GOVERNANCE.

Our work is overseen by an independent Board of Trustees. They approve budgets, review financial statements, and sign off on all major grants. Board committees — including Audit & Risk and Programmes — provide additional scrutiny and ensure compliance with UK and international regulations. Trustees meet regularly, and minutes and decisions are recorded and made available to auditors and regulators.

FINANCIAL CONTROLS.

All funds are managed through a dedicated non-profit bank account. Payments require dual authorisation and are released in stages against agreed milestones. Annual accounts are independently audited, and financial reports are published each year for donors and regulators.

GRANT MONITORING.

Each grant agreement specifies how funds can be used, reporting requirements, and timelines. Partner organisations must provide both narrative and financial reports, with receipts and evidence. Large grants are monitored through site visits or independent verification. We maintain a complete audit trail from proposal to disbursement to results.

PUBLIC REPORTING.

We are committed to transparency with both donors and communities. Each year we will publish an Impact Report showing where money has gone, what projects achieved, and lessons learned. Key information — from governance policies to summaries of funded projects — will also be available on our website.

SAFEGUARDS AND RISK MANAGEMENT.

We operate zero tolerance for fraud, corruption, or misuse of funds. Due diligence is carried out on all partners, including checks on governance, financial management capacity, and alignment with our mission. Safeguarding policies protect children and vulnerable adults, and serious incidents are reported immediately to regulators.
